THINK POSITIVE –
- THE FUTURE IS NOW
Change of perspective: Humanity will still certainly exist in a hundred years' time, on Earth. We will be breathing clean air, walk through healthy forests and car-free cities ... and we will look back dumbfounded at the first half of the 21st century. How we will achieve this - and which cultures and companies will shape this future - that will be decided here and now. Tomorrow begins today.
Innovation that doesn’t focus on creating this safe tomorrow simply isn’t progress, that’s stagnation.

STEP BY STEP –
ABOLISH WASTE
Several aspects are relevant for an effective transition from our throwaway society to a circular economy. Recycling plays a crucial role in this, but it is only the terminus in sustainability. It’s preceded by durable design, maintenance, repair, reuse and refurbishment. After all, the most crucial point is to avoid waste in the first place.
Idealistic nonsense? To the contrary. iI’s a win-win, ecologically and economically. As early as 2015, a research report by McKinsey in cooperation with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation calculated that restorative cycles could save one trillion US dollars per year by 2025.
CIRCULAR DESIGN – ECONOMIC SUCCESS
Our opportunity lies in the possibility of completely recycling used materials. And this is where design quality comes into play. Because at what point, if not in the design and creation process, can we identify and define materials that are uncompromisingly recyclable and can become part of the loop! Remember, design not only affects the individual product, but also the entire value chain, from the innovative product idea to efficient separation and sorting of resources.
It’s the design that defines product’s success.
Because design determines if a product is understood, if it can be used and whether it is desired.
