Holistic, regenerative cabin conversion

Faircraft is a project funded by IFB Hamburg with the aim of developing a recyclable cabin interior for existing aircraft. A cabin is usually replaced every 4-8 years. The implementation of this sustainable conversion can therefore be realized within the existing cycles, for example that of an A320.

CUSTOMER LOYALTY

In terms of material ecology and material health, little consideration is usually given to sustainability in material selection and design, apart from the ongoing search for weight reduction. Im Rahmen des Projekts FAIRcraft streben CompriseTec und die BFGF Design Studios gemeinsam einen Paradigmenwechsel an, der nicht nur das Design, den Komfort und die Nachhaltigkeit der Flugzeugkabine verbessert, sondern auch einen tieferen Zugang zur Airline und zum Flugzeugbauer ermöglicht.

DISTRIBUTION

By implementing lightweight construction and a holistic, regenerative cabin interior with textile seats, it is possible to carry out quick and easy refurbishing. This means that the replacement of components is simplified. This also has a positive impact on product distribution and makes it possible to make the process more efficient.

MAXIMUM ECOLOGICAL PRODUCTDESIGN

The solutions developed are implemented, tested and presented in a life-size design and functional mock-up. In addition to the concept of "design for disassembly", it is important to emphasize that changing framework conditions such as the use of mono-materials also lead to the development of a new design language that offers a circular competitive advantage on the market.
