By not wasting resources, but reusing them.<\/span> n order to thrive, we humans also need a regenerative system. A system in which the use of material and it\u2019s transformation into waste are minimized. The same goes for emissions and energy wastage. This can be achieved by transforming consumtion, closing material cycles and using current solar energy. Several aspects are relevant for an effective transition from our throwaway society to a circular economy. Recycling plays a crucial role in this, but it is only the terminus in sustainability. It\u2019s preceded by durable design, maintenance, repair, reuse and refurbishment. After all, the most crucial point is to avoid waste in the first place.

\u2028Idealistic nonsense? To the contrary. iI\u2019s a win-win, ecologically and economically. As early as 2015, a research report by McKinsey in cooperation with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation calculated that restorative cycles could save one trillion US dollars per year by 2025.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Our opportunity lies in the possibility of completely recycling used materials. And this is where design quality comes into play. Because at what point, if not in the design and creation process, can we identify and define materials that are uncompromisingly recyclable and can become part of the loop! Remember, design not only affects the individual product, but also the entire value chain, from the innovative product idea to efficient separation and sorting of resources.

Its members are experts in their fields that have dedicated themselves over the last decade intensively to the specific aspects of the circular economy. It has shaped their mindset. Instead of just general sustainability efforts, their focus is concentrated on circularity and in-depth expertise.\n\nIn this cooperation, pioneering concepts are being developed that promote the efficient use of resources and advance the principles of the circular economy and sustainability.<\/span> By bringing together expertise from the fields of design, science, entrepreneurship, regulation and other involved parties, the CDHH strives for comprehensive solutions.
